Michele Kessler

Secretary Treasurer Michele Kessler is the Director of the Northeast and Central Divisions.  These divisions cover 45 counties in Pennsylvania, small parts of New York & Maryland. Her office is located in Pittston which is halfway between Wilkes Barre and Scranton.  She is the Chairperson of both the UFCW Health & Welfare Fund of Northeastern Pennsylvania, as well as the Northeastern Pension Fund.  

Michele was the Director of Organizing with UFCW Local 72 when it merged with Local 1776 in 1998.  She has worked for the UFCW since 1986 after receiving her Masters degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
