Schott starts up US chalcogenide glass line

The specialty optical components manufacturer Schott is now making products based on chalcogenide glass in Duryea, Pennsylvania, in a move that will enable the company’s US subsidiary to target the domestic defense sector more effectively.

Schott Glass Members Ratify New Four Year Agreement

June 30, 2011 --  Local 1776 Members at Schott North America in Duryea, PA today ratified a new four-year agreement that provides the members with decent wage increases and health care benefits for themselves and  their families.
