On Monday, November 14, A&P – whose stores include Superfesh, Pathmark and Food Basics – backed by several investors filed its reorganization plan in Federal Bankruptcy Court.
The plan includes renegotiated labor contracts with all UFCW locals.
At this time, Local 1776 has agreed in principle to the dollar amount and many of the terms. However, a few details remain to be resolved.
In the coming days we anticipate that we will finish that process. I will contact our A&P members soon after to arrange a meeting to review the proposed terms and to discuss the impact on our contracts.

President, UFCW Local 1776
