UFCW and RWDSU locals sign tentative agreements on A&P bankruptcy emergence; 1776 sets ratification meetings for Tues., Nov. 29
After many months of intense negotiations with the Great Atlantic and Pacific Company (A&P) -- owners of A&P, Pathmark, Waldbaum's, Food Emporium, SuperFresh -- all 13 UFCW/RWDSU Locals have signed tentative agreements with the company that will aid A&P as it seeks to emerge from bankruptcy. Local 1776 has scheduled two meetings for members to discuss and vote on its tentative agreement for Tuesday, November 29 at the Walton Rd. Union Hall -- one at 9:30 am and one at 6:30 pm. All SuperFresh and Pathmark members are urged to attend one of the meetings.
