UFCW 1776: Negotiating Great Contracts!
Updated On: Feb 16, 2017
PLYMOUTH MEETING – (02/16/2017) With UFCW Local 1776, members have a voice in their workplace through a union contract. The contract is negotiated by members with their employers. Working conditions, pay and many other aspects of employment are spelled out in the agreement. Each contract typically last for three years, and the negotiation process provides the union membership with a method to address ongoing concerns at work.
Local 1776 is proud to assist the membership in the negotiation process, and we’ve been very successful in winning better conditions and pay increases in recent months.
Over the past six months, members of local 1776 have been busy negotiating several contracts. Here is a list of contracts settled in the last six months:
Chartwells (Pocono Mountain School District)
Wells Fargo Center
Citizens Bank Park
Talen Energy Stadium
Aramark at Bloomsburg University
Pennsylvania Employees Benefit Trust Fund (PEBTF)
Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB)
