Dear UFCW Local 1776 members,
This week we learned that both President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have contracted Covid-19. After months and months of ignoring, downplaying and lying about the virus, we have over 200,000 Americans dead from this awful virus and over 7 million infected, including now the President and First Lady.
This awful virus has infected nearly 1,000 and sadly killed 7 members of this local union. No one should have to suffer from this virus and we can all do our part to stop the spread.
Now that the President of the United States has contracted Covid-19 I truly hope that we will finally reject the conspiracy theories and misinformation and accept the science and the guidelines from agencies like the CDC and PA Department of Health.
No one deserves to get this virus. No one deserves to suffer from this. But we can stop Covid-19 if we work together: wear your mask or faceshields, avoid large gatherings and wash your hands frequently. If you need a mask or faceshield, please contact your union representative. We have a set of masks and faceshields that feature the UFCW Local 1776 logo that I would love you to wear.
Together, responsibly, we can beat Covid-19
