The American Rescue Plan passed in March has great benefits for working people, like:
- $1400 stimulus – which most people should have already received;
- Childcare and child tax credits that people should receive after filing their 2020 taxes in a few weeks;
- Additional funding for our schools to make them safe for children to attend classes 5 days a week;
- Funds to make our pensions plans solvent and protect members’ retirement;
- Funding for vaccines, PPE and COVID-19 testing;
- And, funds to OSHA to help ensure our workplaces are safer.
We know there are a lot of questions on how this will all work and what additional support we will receive to continue to strengthen our economy for working people as well as recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
