PLYMOUTH MEETING (JUNE 14, 2019) -- UFCW Local 1776 Keystone State President Wendell Young IV issued the following statement in the wake of the death of a union member at the JBS Souderton Beef Plant in Montgomery County:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with this young man’s family. This is a horrible tragedy. Right now, our leadership team and the entire membership at Local 1776KS stands with our union brother, his family and his fellow members at JBS. This young man went to work to provide for his family. Tragically, he could not go home. Our union is committed to workplace safety and the well-being of all of our members.”
