UFCW 1776KS Takes on Lidl Grocery Stores to Protect Good Jobs & Strong Communities

To All UFCW Local 1776KS Members:
On behalf of the UFCW 1776KS team, I am writing to provide an important update on our efforts to protect all of our members who work in retail establishments. In recent weeks, we have staged a picket line at a new Lidl store that has opened in Montgomery County in Southeast PA.
We have also launched an online, digital ad campaign urging all residents in the area to boycott Lidl and shop union at local Acme and ShopRite - where thousands of proud UFCW Local 1776KS union members work.
Lidl is a bad actor - period. But this fight extends beyond Lidl.
We are working hard to protect local grocery stores and all of our members who work in retail. Retail is the backbone of our Local and we are proud to represent employees at many grocery stores, including Acme, Kroger, ShopRite, Giant Eagle, and Fresh Grocer, just to name a few!
Support good union jobs and don't give your money to a business with sub-standard area wages and benefits!
    In Solidarity,
    Wendell Young IV
President, UFCW Local 1776 Keystone State
