UFCW 1776KS Announces Temporary Bonus, Safety Measures for Giant Eagle Members

PLYMOUTH MEETING (MARCH 21, 2020) – UFCW 1776KS President Wendell W. Young IV announced that Giant Eagle has agreed to a temporary bonus for members.

The company has also agreed to increase measures to ensure your safety and well-being throughout this crisis, including the installation of plexiglass panels at appropriate locations in the stores.

“I am extraordinarily proud of the dedication to the families and communities all of our members are serving throughout incredibly difficult and challenging time,” Young said.

Young noted that UFCW 1776KS represents 35,000 members in a wide array of industries, including workers in grocery stores, pharmacies, nursing homes, public works departments, cannabis dispensaries, and in food processing.
