Litigation Shows Why We Need Leaders Who Put Workers First

The Biden administration’s Department of Justice recently announced that it has filed a lawsuit against three large poultry processors, accusing the companies scheming to deceive workers, suppress wages and stifle competition. The three processors are Cargill, Sanderson Farms and Wayne Farms.

According to the lawsuit, “The three processors, along with 18 others listed in the lawsuit as unnamed co-conspirators, employ more than 90 percent of poultry processing workers in the country.”

The DOJ says that the scheme lasted for decades.

This litigation demonstrates why it is so important that we elect leaders who will stand with workers and with our members. Our team works closely with officials in Washington D.C. and Harrisburg to fight for safer workplaces, the right to unionize and the right to earn a fair wage and good benefits for you and your families!
